Thats ok. I was not thinking about making a warrior type anyway. Im moreof the ranger type with bows and long range weapons. Whats the best combo for the Archer ?

Well, most people reckon Rangers have no use of secondary professions whatsoever. They can pretty much handle themselves.

But if you like winging ranged attacks at everyone, try going Ranger/Elementalist. That combo packs some serious long-range punch, with skills like Conjure Fire/Frost/Shock, which adds elemental damage and the ranger spirits that will convert elemental damage to the one you prefere.

...Not to be rude, but...why ask if you should buy this game?

Of course everyone is going to say Yes, buy it, as they play it, this is a GW Fansite...not GameFAQs or whatever. :S

YES, Buy This Game.

IT Rocks.

BE Forwarned. Nothing has INFINITE LIFE.

You will play and love PVE for 1-3 months.
You will then start PVP and love it to.

After 4-6 months u will be bored out of your skull and start posting on these forums about how bored u are.

This game is like a good book.
Buy it, read it, enjoy it, move on.

I will probably begin playing within a few days. I'll let you know my moniker when I see what is available. Hubby will probably stick with D2 for a while. He is still hopelessly addicted as his jones is a new one.... hehe Frankly, I have even tried starting a new character in the hopes of reviving my interest, and am surprised it didn't work. Heck, I played Trade Wars for over 10 years and that is a DOS based game with no graphics....I still would be if any of my old corp were in game anymore.

From the sounds of it, GW will keep my interest for a long time to come.
Get that spouse in the game! My wife and I play and usually PvE with two other real-life couples when they are logged on. I posted a "How Many Real-Life Couples Are There" on one of the other forums and got quite a few responses. One couple had four copies of the game (Them + 2 kids).

One word: Definately :P

I can't sit here all night and describe everything but I will say GW has enough stuff in it to keep you amused for a long time. I have played it most nights since June and only completed it with two different characters, and theres four more left! And thats just the roleplaying side, I haven't had time to even touch the player vs player and guild battles yet.

For a one off payment its a great online RPG

I beg to differ. I've played since launch really, and I still PVE alot. With multiple accounts. Multiple characters. I love it ^_^

I only recently really "picked" up PVP/GVG...fun as well, but GVG is hard when you have half henchies because other guildies are doing another mission to help another guildie. =)

Sitll not bored. But I do post here alot.

I'm wearing him down And when I placed my order, I ordered 2 copies...so I'm sure he won't be able to resist for long... hehe I think he just needs to get all the way through D2 once (he's on the LAST quest) and he'll be mine, ALL mine....ummmm I mean, ready to play with me...GW that is.

I've read some threads on here that weren't very flattering but..... I am really leaning toward the ranger for my first character.

hmmmm well, my 11-year-old may lobby for a copy eventually....but if the 9-month-old does, then we've got problems. hehe

Btw, Isis, you can multiple quote in one post without multiple posting.

Just quote the original time, and follow the [Quote] thing, and quote multiples. Makes board less cluttered =)

Format: ...[Quote=<enter name here>] text here you want to quote end this [Quote] with a /Quote.

Example:

Seriously .... I enjoy the game a lot, and I'm 95% PvE
Due to lack of guild cooperation and tough to recruit 24/7 gamer people, I've been a PvE soloist for a while now... Don't mind it at all, but am considering to change my main guy...
